About the Role
We are looking for a Product Designer with strong UX expertise, visual design skills, and a solid grounding in user research. You’ll play a key role in shaping customer-facing digital experiences, working end-to-end across discovery, design, testing, and iteration.
We are growing our team and focus from Retail into also covering other areas of banking such as Wealth and MSME-Corporate in the year ahead. While prior banking or financial services experience is not required, we value designers who are curious problem solvers, enjoy complexity and are comfortable using data and research methods to inform and articulate design decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design of intuitive, elegant, and effective digital products and services across web and mobile platforms.
- Translate business goals and user needs into clear design concepts, flows, and interfaces.
- Challenge business requirements to derive simple, clean, effective solutions for the user.
- Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics reviews) to uncover insights and validate solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to frame problems and co-create solutions.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, ensuring strong attention to detail in both interaction and visual design.
- Present design rationale effectively, using evidence from user research, behavioral data, or best practices.
- Contribute to design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a product designer, UX/UI designer, or similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX problem-solving, visual design craft, and research-informed design decisions.
- Comfort with both qualitative (interviews, usability tests) and quantitative (analytics, A/B testing, surveys) research methods.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—able to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Ability to balance user needs with business requirements and technical constraints.
- A collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and iteration.
Good to Have
- Experience working in agile product development teams.
- Interest and comfort working in financial services or complex domains.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
