Production Assistant Jobs in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria at Envoy Jewelry

Title: Production Assistant

Company: Envoy Jewelry

Location: Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria

About the Role

The Production Assistant is the person who makes every Envoy Jewelry piece — to spec, every time, to the same standard regardless of the day or the volume. This is a hands-on, detail-focused craft role that requires patience, precision, and a personal standard of quality that doesn't need to be enforced from outside.

If you are the kind of person who notices when something is slightly off and fixes it before being asked, this role was made for you.

How This Role Works — Our Training Programme Entry Path

We are not hiring through a conventional application process. The Production Assistant position is filled exclusively through the Envoy Jewelry Production Training Programme — a fully facilitated, paid one-week training in Abuja where we teach five selected candidates exactly how to produce our pieces to our standard. At the end of the week, the standout trainee (by their own consent) is offered the retained role.

Prior jewelry-making experience is a strong advantage but is not required. We are hiring for hands, attitude, and work ethic — and we will teach the rest.

Key Responsibilities (Retained Role)

  • Assemble handcrafted beaded bracelets and necklaces to documented spec sheets — exact bead count, charm placement, cord gauge, and finishing
  • Source materials from approved suppliers and maintain stock levels proactively
  • Carry out quality control checks on every finished piece before dispatch
  • Maintain accurate production logs daily without prompting
  • Package completed orders and flag any production issues to the Creative Director early

What Success Looks Like

✔ Every piece matches its spec — consistently, not occasionally

✔ QC failure rate below 5% per month

✔ Production log updated same day, every day

✔ Materials never run out because you flagged the threshold before stock was exhausted

✔ No order delayed by a production issue that wasn't communicated early

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Skilled with hands — precise, patient, and detail-oriented
  • Able to follow a written spec sheet consistently and exactly
  • Reliable and communicative — flags problems early, not after the fact
  • Available for a full week of consecutive in-person training in Abuja
  • Abuja-based or able to commute easily

Strong Plus:

  • Prior experience in beadwork, jewelry-making, sewing, or any detail-focused craft or assembly work
  • Familiarity with natural stone beads, elastic cord, or metallic charm components
  • Experience in a small brand or creative production environment

No degree required. No formal employment history required. We require excellent hands, a high personal standard, and a reliable character.

Compensation & Benefits

🟡 Retained Production Assistant: ₦70,000/month (part-time)

Salary reviewed every 6 months and at significant increases in order volume.

All training programme participants who complete all five days receive:

  • 💰 Training stipend (paid, amount confirmed at selection)
  • 📜 Envoy Jewelry Certificate of Completion in handcrafted beaded jewelry production — signed by the Creative Director, presented on Day 5
  • 📋 Envoy Reserve List placement — trained producers we contact first for additional paid work as the brand grows
  • ✉️ Personalised letter of recommendation from the Creative Director (available on request for non-retained trainees)

We invest a full week training five people. Everyone who completes that week leaves with something real — whether or not they are the one we retain.
