Overview
Project Manager Jobs in Shelton, CT at BMG360
Title: Project Manager
Company: BMG360
Location: Shelton, CT
BMG360 is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support our technology organization with day-to-day project coordination and execution. You'll be the "boots on the ground" keeping projects moving, tracking status, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
You'll report to our Program Manager of Strategic Initiatives and work closely with our three technology teams (Data Engineering, Product Engineering, and Business Analytics). This is a hands-on role focused on project execution-tracking milestones, running standups, documenting decisions, and following up on action items. This role is ideal for someone early in their project management career who wants to learn in a fast-paced agency environment. You'll get exposure to diverse projects (client delivery, product development, data integration, analytics) while building foundational PM skills.
This is NOT a senior strategy role. You won't be designing processes or making prioritization decisions. Instead, you'll be executing the processes that exist, supporting teams with their work, and learning PM craft from an experienced Program Manager.
If you're organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to support technical teams, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Ensure all projects have clear owners, timelines, and next steps

- Prepare status updates for Program Manager, Technology Teams, and Leadership
PROJECT COORDINATION (30% of role)
- Schedule and run project standups, syncs, and check-ins
- Take notes during meetings and document decisions/action items
- Distribute meeting notes and follow up on actions
- Coordinate across teams when projects span multiple groups
- Track dependencies and ensure handoffs happen smoothly
- Escalate blockers or issues to Program Manager or directors
- Support project kickoffs and retrospectives
DOCUMENTATION & ADMINISTRATION (20% of role)
- Document project requirements, scope, and deliverables
- Create and maintain project briefs, timelines, and status reports
- Update templates and documentation in project management system
- Ensure project files and documentation are organized and accessible
- Track resource allocation and team capacity (who's working on what)
- Maintain intake queue and ensure new requests are logged properly
- Help teams with administrative project management tasks
TEAM SUPPORT (10% of role)
- Answer questions about project management processes and tools
- Help team members navigate project management system
- Support engineers and analysts with project planning
- Provide reminders about deadlines, meetings, and commitments
- Be the "safety net" catching things that might slip through cracks
- Make everyone else's job easier through proactive coordination
WHO YOU ARE
REQUIRED BACKGROUND:
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or operations roles
- Some exposure to technology teams, technical projects, operations and processes preferred (but not required)
- Experience using project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, Monday, etc.)
- Comfortable with fast-paced environments and changing priorities
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Agile, Kanban) considered a plus
- Any PM certification or training (not required, but nice to have)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Self-starter: Don't need constant direction or supervision
- Organized: Nothing slips through the cracks when you're on it

- Clear communicator: You write clear notes, emails, and status updates
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable learning new software tools quickly
- People skills: Can work with engineers, analysts, and non-technical stakeholders
- Reliable: People can count on you to do what you say you'll do
- Adaptable: Roll with changes and don't get flustered by chaos
- Positive attitude: Stay upbeat even when things get hectic
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
BMG360's technology teams are running multiple projects at once across data, product, and analytics. This role brings day-to-day structure to that work – keeping timelines and ownership clear, making progress visible, capturing decisions, and staying on top of follow-ups. When projects are tracked well and blockers surface early, teams spend less time untangling details and more time delivering. This role helps ensure technology work moves forward consistently and reliably.
