Position: Rehearsal Director Role with National Ballet
Play a critical role at The National Ballet of Canada as the Rehearsal Director. Guide rehearsals, support choreography, and enhance performance quality in Toronto.
This integral position reports directly to the Artistic Director. You’ll manage rehearsals, assist in staging new works, and ensure lighting and costuming are on point. Your evaluation of performances and consistent dancer coaching will be key components of this role, alongside participation in educational and community events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead rehearsals for various ballet productions
• Assist in creating stage settings and organizing costs
• Coach dancers on technique and performance skills
• Coordinate with production and music teams
• Evaluate readiness and provide constructive feedback
Requirements:
• Significant experience in male classical repertoire
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Proficient communication and collaboration capabilities

• Physical stamina for overseeing productions
