If you have the drive to keep pace with this dynamic industry, whether in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you will join a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories important to Canadians.
Your role
We are looking to fill two (2) reporter-researcher positions within the ICI Estrie team: one assigned to daily production and the other to medium- and long-term production. These are 8‑month temporary positions starting in June 2026.
Reporter-Researcher – Daily Production
In this role, you will report to the Associate Managing Editor and primarily serve as a reporter-researcher for the morning show Par ici l’Info, and also support the afternoon program Vivement le retour. Depending on your experience, you may appear on air on one of the radio programs. You will propose relevant topics and content, develop original interview angles, and identify engaging guests who will captivate listeners and help us stand out in the Eastern Townships market.
You will also enhance our programs’ content on digital platforms. You must demonstrate strong adaptability, the ability to work under pressure, and maintain an extensive network of contacts. The schedule is Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., subject to variation based on production needs.
Reporter-Researcher – Medium- and Long-Term Production
In this role, you will report to the Associate Managing Editor and primarily act as a reporter-researcher contributing to investigative journalism, preparing coverage plans and deployments scheduled throughout the year across our various platforms, including interview planning. You must gather large amounts of information on multiple topics and synthesize it into comprehensive files, monitor court dockets, and maintain a network of contacts with lawyers.
You will also oversee the station’s access‑to‑information requests. You must demonstrate strong adaptability, the ability to work under pressure, and maintain an extensive network of contacts. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., subject to variation based on production needs.
For both positions, you must have a strong knowledge of the Eastern Townships region and its key stakeholders, demonstrate creativity, initiative and rigor, be able to handle multiple files simultaneously, possess strong organizational skills, and comply with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
