Job Description
The Senior Retoucher is responsible for delivering high‑quality, production‑ready imagery across multiple categories, including automotive, lifestyle, product, beauty, and other visual content as required. This role supports US‑based clients and internal teams by providing expert retouching, strong visual judgment, and consistent quality across print and digital deliverables.The Senior Retoucher plays a critical role in upholding creative standards, supporting quality control, mentoring mid‑level artists, and contributing to efficient, scalable production workflows. The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working across diverse visual styles and categories.
Key Responsibilities:
Retouching & Production
- Execute high‑end retouching across multiple categories, including but not limited to automotive, lifestyle, product, beauty, and environmental imagery.
- Perform advanced compositing, cleanup, enhancement, and image manipulation while maintaining realism and brand integrity.
- Adapt retouching approach and visual style to meet varying client, brand, and category requirements.
- Prepare and deliver final assets for print, ooh, digital, web, social, and e‑commerce platforms.
- Maintain consistent quality, accuracy, and attention to detail across all assignments.
Quality Control
- Conduct detailed quality checks to ensure assets meet US client standards and brand guidelines.
- Ensure proper color correction, color matching, contrast, and detail in both RGB and CMYK workflows.
- Maintain clean and organized and Photoshop files following production best practices.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate closely with CGI artists, designers, producers, and creative leads.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining high craft standards.
- Communicate clearly with US‑based teams regarding timelines, revisions, and expectations.
Leadership & Support
- Mentor and support mid‑level retouchers through constructive feedback and guidance.
- Assist Lead Retouchers with workflow optimization, quality consistency, and best practices.
- Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of retouching standards.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with retouching trends, tools, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate AI‑assisted tools and automation responsibly to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of professional retouching experience in an agency, studio, or production environment.
- Proven experience retouching across multiple visual categories, including but not limited to lifestyle and product imagery
- Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility, technical excellence, and high‑quality execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Photography, Visual Communication, or equivalent professional experience.
- English proficiency at B2 (Upper‑Intermediate) level or higher.
Tools & Technology Skills
- Required
- Adobe Photoshop (expert level, non‑destructive workflows)
- Adobe Bridge or equivalent asset‑management tools
- Advanced masking, compositing, color correction, and file‑prep techniques
- Strong understanding of RGB and CMYK workflows, color profiles, and pre‑press standards
- Nice to Have
- Experience working with CGI or 3D‑generated imagery
- Basic knowledge of 3D tools (Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar)
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted retouching tools used in production environment
