Role Description This is a full-time, fully remote position for a Russian to English Interpreter. In this role, you will provide accurate, real-time interpretation between Russian and English in various professional settings, including business, healthcare, and customer service environments. Day-to-day tasks include facilitating spoken or virtual conversations, ensuring meaning and tone are preserved, and maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism. You will prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, documenting key information, and following organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA where applicable. Collaboration with clients, coordinators, and other team members to improve communication processes and maintain high service standards is also an integral part of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong language proficiency in Russian and English, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills in both languages.
- Proven interpreting skills, including consecutive or simultaneous interpretation, and the ability to convey meaning, tone, and cultural nuances accurately.
- Familiarity with professional terminology (e.g., business, legal, or medical) and willingness to research and learn new subject-specific vocabulary.
- High level of professionalism, including adherence to confidentiality standards and, ideally, experience or certification related to HIPAA-compliant environments.
- Comfort with remote work tools and technology, such as video conferencing platforms, headsets, and secure communication systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain neutral, respectful, and calm in sensitive or complex conversations.
- Previous experience as an interpreter or translator in a professional setting is preferred; relevant training or certification in interpreting or linguistics is an advantage.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, private workspace suitable for remote interpreting sessions.
