Senior Account Manager Jobs in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia at BAYLY PR

Title: Senior Account Manager

Company: BAYLY PR

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

BAYLY PR (BPR) is a Brisbane-born communications and talent agency built for brands that want more than a press release — we build worlds, audiences and cultural relevance through integrated PR, influencer, content and talent strategy. We work across lifestyle, fashion, beauty, wellness, hospitality and interiors, and we're growing fast: new office, expanding team, and an ever-evolving client list that keeps our work anything but predictable.

We're looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead campaigns for some of our most exciting clients — someone who can move seamlessly between big-picture strategy and the granular detail that makes campaigns actually land. This isn't a role where you manage from a distance. You'll be in the room for the ideation, across the timelines, and on the ground for the execution.

Role Description

The Senior Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Brisbane, QLD. This role leads day-to-day management of key client accounts, including developing and executing strategic PR and communications plans, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and serving as the primary point of contact with little escalation to the leadership team. The Senior Account Manager will craft compelling narratives and campaign concepts, oversee content creation and media materials, and drive media outreach and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities also include mentoring junior team members, analysing campaign performance, preparing reports, and contributing to new business opportunities and pitches. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and clients to ensure campaigns are innovative, effective, and aligned with client objectives.

What you'll do:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of campaigns and retainers — strategy, ideation, execution and amplification
  • Own client relationships, timelines, budgets and reporting for your own portfolio
  • Build integrated brand experiences spanning publicity, content, partnerships and influencer engagement
  • Identify and manage collaborations between clients, talent, media and complementary brands
  • Work closely with our PR, content and talent teams to bring ideas to life
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends and platform shifts, and translate them into strategy for clients and for BPR
  • Support new business proposals, pitches and brainstorms
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to BPR's culture and internal growth

About you:

  • 5+ years' experience in PR or communications, ideally agency-side and across multiple disciplines
  • Equally comfortable setting strategy and getting into the detail — pitching one minute, sourcing event merch the next
  • Strong track record managing integrated campaigns: media relations, influencers, events, partnerships and/or content
  • A genuine media and culture obsession — the kind of person with three Substacks open and a strong opinion on the algorithms latest updates
  • Confident using AI as a strategic tool to work smarter, not as a shortcut
  • Established (or easily built) relationships with journalists, editors and Australian tastemakers
  • A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring and building team culture, not just managing outputs

What you can expect at BPR:

  • Direct mentorship and the chance to grow quickly inside a small, senior team
  • A diverse client list that stretches your skill set across industries
  • Genuinely flexible working arrangements, including WFH/remote options
  • Two extra paid leave days per year (birthday + one just because), quarterly long weekends, and the option of an additional unpaid week off
  • Access to a competitive business development incentive program
  • A dedicated annual development budget for your growth, available post-probation

How to apply: Send your CV and a cover letter to Lucinda Bayly at [email protected]. We want to see the same thoughtfulness and creativity in your application that you'd bring to the role — so make it count.
