Position: Senior Animation Role at ILM
Shape the future of animation at Industrial Light & Magic Vancouver as a Senior Feature Animator. This hybrid role allows you to animate for the exciting project ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go!’.
As part of a foundational team, you will focus on character performances that resonate with the film’s musical essence. Collaborate with top-tier directors while executing complex shots, mentoring junior staff, and providing artistic feedback. Your expertise will be vital for achieving a successful 2028 film release.
Key Responsibilities:
• Animate charming characters and creatures authentically
• Follow direction from Lead Animator and Animation Supervisor
• Handle intricate animation sequences with precision
• Mentor and oversee less experienced animators
• Participate in regular critiques and feedback sessions
Requirements:
• Over 5 years of professional Feature Animation experience
• Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• Mastery of animation principles and tools
• Proficiency with Maya;
Linux experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
