La La Land Kind Cafe is a hospitality brand built around human connection – and every detail of our spaces is designed to reflect that. We're looking for a skilled and precise Senior Drafter to join our design team and help bring our store concepts to life with technical accuracy and craft. You'll work closely with our Lead Designers to produce detailed construction documentation across new locations and renovations, ensuring every space is built exactly as envisioned.
What you'll own:
Technical documentation
— Produce complete construction drawing sets: plans, elevations, sections, details, 3D views, and schedules with accurate dimensions and annotations
— Develop kitchen layouts, seating configurations, and store design schematics aligned to project standards
— Research and interpret product specs, installation manuals, schematics, and diagrams to incorporate into drawing sets
— Identify construction and equipment detailing challenges — and document the solutions clearly within the drawings
Design collaboration
— Partner closely with our Store Interior Designers to translate creative concepts into precise technical drawings
— Stay in active communication with the team to ensure coordination across all project components — lighting, retail, signage, patio, and décor
— Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our CAD libraries and standards
Project support
— Aid in design reviews and plan refinements throughout the project lifecycle
— Keep pace with emerging drafting techniques, QSR design trends, and relevant technology advancements
What you bring
— Associate's degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Interior Design, or a related field (Bachelor's is a plus)
— Proven experience as a draftsperson in interior design, architecture, or restaurant/QSR environments
— Advanced AutoCAD proficiency (required)
— Bluebeam, SketchUp, and V-Ray experience (a plus)
— Familiarity with restaurant design, drive-through layouts, and kitchen environments (a plus)
— Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and evolving project needs
