Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design process from concept to completion for hospitality and residential projects, ensuring design quality, consistency, and alignment with client goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing presentations, producing detailed drawings and specifications, and coordinating FF&E selections in collaboration with internal and external partners. The role involves close communication with clients, architects, consultants, and vendors to manage project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements. The Senior Interior Designer will also mentor junior team members, contribute to studio standards, and help refine processes for design documentation and delivery. This is a full-time remote role, requiring proactive communication, strong time management, and the ability to work effectively across digital collaboration tools.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design skills, including concept development, materials and finishes selection, and design detailing.
- Proficiency in Space Planning to create functional, efficient, and elegant layouts for hospitality and residential environments.
- Background in Architecture or architectural coordination to collaborate effectively with project teams and understand building systems.
- Experience producing Construction Drawings and technical documentation that meet industry standards and support smooth project delivery.
- Expertise in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, with a focus on quality, durability, and cohesive design narratives.
- Advanced skills in relevant design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Demonstrated experience leading interior design projects, including client management and consultant coordination.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with clear visual and written storytelling skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field; prior experience in hospitality or high-end residential design is highly beneficial.
