Position: Senior Rigging Lead Elevating Performance in Animation Studio

As a leader with extensive rigging experience, you will mentor artists while applying your knowledge of anatomy to refine complex character rigs. With a deep understanding of both the technical and artistic sides of rigging, this role requires collaboration with various departments to cultivate a cohesive workflow. Your approach will ensure that each rig serves to enhance the storytelling of animated characters effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create, revise, and elevate character and prop rigs
• Provide mentorship and training to less experienced riggers
• Proactively solve technical challenges faced during production
• Collaborate effectively to align creative and technical teams
• Communicate and document rigging techniques and best practices
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in rigging within a Maya pipeline
• Proficient knowledge of Linux and Python
• Strong grasp of overall CG pipeline mechanics
• In-depth understanding of anatomy for rigging
• Legally eligible to work in British Columbia, Canada
