Role Description The Social Media Executive will be responsible for managing the organization’s social media presence, creating engaging content, and supporting digital marketing initiatives. The role requires a creative and detail-oriented individual who can drive online engagement, grow audiences, and maintain a consistent brand voice across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

● Develop and execute engaging social media content across Ubuntu Café, Ubuntu Water, Ubuntu MADE, and the Ubuntu Life Foundation

● Create and manage a structured content calendar aligned with brand and campaign goals

● Capture and produce high-quality visual content (photos and videos) for digital platforms

● Manage social media platforms, including posting, engagement, and community management

● Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches

● Monitor performance, trends, and insights to optimize content and drive engagement and sales

● Track brand mentions, competitor activity, and industry trends to inform content strategy

● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent branding and effective storytelling across all departments

Qualifications & Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Business or a related field

● 3 to 4 years’ experience managing social media accounts

● Strong photography and videography skills, including editing

● Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut)

● Creative thinker with strong attention to detail

● Excellent communication and storytelling skills

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

● Strong understanding of major social media platforms and tools

● Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
