Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake soft pretzels according to established recipes and food safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters efficiently and safely
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation protocols and organizing ingredients and tools
- Assist with other food production tasks and waiting on customers as needed
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Support high-volume production during busy periods while maintaining consistency in product quality
Skills
- Experience in food production with a focus on baked goods like pretzels or similar items
- Strong skills and proficiency in handling kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Ability to perform basic math for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
- Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with team members and customers
- Experience in food handling within the food industry or restaurant environment preferred
- High-volume production experience to efficiently manage large batches during peak times
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for multiple hours at a time.
