And when it’s in‑person, virtual, or hybrid event time, this is the go‑to team for conference agenda development and event logistics for corporate functions of all sizes and scopes.

Reporting directly to the Director, Corporate Communications, this role will drive multiple corporate programs internally, including our IABC Gold Quill Award‑winning Continuous Improvement and Cybersecurity programs, through effective communications, collaborative content and resource development, event and engagement campaign planning, and efficient project and stakeholder management.

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Under the strategic guidance of our Corporate Communications Director, lead the daily multi‑tiered, multi‑pronged implementation of corporate programs, including Aecon’s Continuous Improvement and Cybersecurity programs.
  • Drive the coordination, mapping, organization, and content development required for the successful delivery of various corporate programme’s strategic tactics, leveraging multiple delivery channels, and adhering to strict schedules.
  • Liaise daily internal stakeholder groups to drive program print, digital, training, and online event deliverables in support of the programmes’ broader strategic goals, ensuring on‑time delivery and clear, consistent messaging.
  • Research, write, and edit original content for the programmes’ delivery channels, including videos, internal articles, newsletters, and more.
  • Schedule, organize, host and develop content for various in‑person and hybrid events (e.g. awareness‑building information sessions).
  • Manage and develop existing programme SharePoint intranet portals, as well as monitor and triage any inquiries about the Continuous Improvement, Cybersecurity or other related internal programmes.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders who will support you as subject‑matter experts.
  • Liaise with external vendors to support programme delivery and objectives.
  • Manage programme metrics and dashboards (i.e. click rates / polling / surveys) and invoicing.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • University degree or diploma in communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of business communications experience, preferably within a digitally focused role.
  • Demonstrated experience in communications programme implementation and management.
  • Exceptional written/oral communications skills and storytelling lens; ability to take complex ideas and transition into clear, compelling content and meaningful messaging; demonstrated experience tailoring content to appeal to specific target audiences.
  • Ability to successfully plan and execute multiple priorities with tight deadlines and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience and maturity in dealing with sensitive matters and strong business acumen to enable tactful problem‑solving and collaborative‑driven solutions.
  • Ability to lead as a dedicated contributor within a larger team environment, be open‑minded, and embrace feedback and direction from others.
  • Demonstrated event planning/logistics experience in both virtual and in‑person environments is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Canva is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AV and video production (scripting, producing, working with AV vendors) considered an asset.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $75,000-$85,000
