Our client is a globally renown contemporary artist based in Sydney, and on their behalf, Knight Group are seeking applications for a Logistics manager to join their Studio team.

Position

As Logistics Manager for our client’s Studio, you will join their small but growing team to be the anchor behind their story — orchestrating the logistics, vendor relationships, and fulfilment processes that make their art and merchandise flow seamlessly across continents. You’ll bring structure to creativity, ensuring every detail — from a crate label to a client email — reflects the artist’s standard of excellence.

This is a hybrid position, with 2–3 days per week expected on-site at the studio to manage physical inventory, receive and inspect deliveries, oversee packing and shipments, and the remaining time working remotely on coordination, documentation, and planning.

Your Mission

  • Lead Vendor Relationships — Manage our network of shipping, packaging, production, and fulfilment partners. Source vendors, quotations, negotiate contracts, and hold partners to elevated service & aesthetic standards. Track and manage associated costs.
  • Fulfilment Excellence — Prepare and manage vendor fulfillment, inventory and order processing from e-commerce, maintaining accuracy, flow, and efficiency.
  • Secondary Packaging — Supervise sourcing, production and management of crate packaging.
  • Art Handling & Shipping — Arrange and oversee the preparation and movement of all original artworks, limited editions and merchandise, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant international transit.
  • Shipping & Documentation — Oversee customs, insurance, certificates, and all supporting documentation for artworks and goods, ensuring compliance with art-handling and export protocols.
  • Deliver Last-Mile Perfection — From unboxing to delivery experience, guarantee a smooth, premium journey that mirrors the studio’s craftsmanship and care.
  • Client Servicing — Partner with collectors and galleries to ensure communication, transparency, and delivery satisfaction for Original artworks, and support as required for Prints & Merchandise.
  • Events Management – support Global events & exhibitions by overseeing installation logistics.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in operations, logistics, or art handling within art, design, entertainment or luxury.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify, with strong understanding of online order workflows and fulfillment systems.
  • Experience in production and logistics vendor management
  • Strong understanding of freight and transport requirements domestically and internationally, including weight thresholds, palletisation, crating standards, and specialist shipment needs.
  • Knowledge of shipping documentation, customs processes, and insurance requirements.
  • Comfort working in an evolving creative environment — able to balance structure with agility.
  • Collaborative spirit – someone who loves being part of a small but mighty team.

Please note:

Flexible Working Rhythm: Some projects involve international logistics or exhibitions requiring flexibility in working hours at times to support global schedules and key activations.

Artwork Handling: Ability to safely lift, move, and assist with the preparation of original artworks, crates, and packaging materials when required, following appropriate art-handling protocols.

Driving Capability: A valid driver’s licence and ability to operate a van for local artwork transport or logistical support is advantageous.

Work Eligibility: Must have full legal rights to live and work in Australia.
