This Design Assistant opportunity is tailored for a post-secondary student pursuing interests in arts education or stage design. Under the guidance of a design specialist, you’ll assist with the preparation of materials and actively engage with children during workshops. Collaborative programming with professional artists will enrich your experience and enhance your skills in educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate visual arts and stage design sessions
• Supervise youth during lunch hours and activities
• Collaborate on programming with artists
• Maintain materials and design supplies
• Curate a display of participants’ artwork each week
Requirements:
• Enrolled in visual art or arts education studies
• Experience with children in educational settings
• Strong team player and independent worker
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
• Required to obtain Vulnerable Sector Verification
