About
the Role
Our OEM client, based in Gaydon, is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI & Animation Designer (Production) to join their talented team on a contract basis, inside IR35. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects within the automotive industry, contributing to the development of cutting‑edge human‑machine interfaces (HMI) for some of the most desirable automotive brands in the world.
The position is contractual, with an expected duration until 31st March 2027, and offers a competitive umbrella pay rate of £33.64 per hour. The Senior UI & Animation Designer will play a pivotal role in translating creative concepts into visually compelling and technically feasible UI components. You will work closely with UX and UI teams to ensure the visual fidelity and functional integrity of complex HMI specifications.
Acting as a UI champion, you will promote best practices in design, support cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and ensure pixel‑perfect implementation of visual elements. This role demands a blend of creative flair, technical understanding, and meticulous attention to detail to deliver engaging, brand‑aligned user experiences.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UI design and animation, with proven experience in automotive or similar high‑tech industries. Proficiency in industry‑standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of design systems, brand guidelines, and UX principles. A portfolio showcasing previous work in UI animation, complex visualizations, and interactive design is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment, and a passion for innovation are also key attributes for success in this role.
Responsibilities
