Job Description:
We are looking for a UX Copywriter or Content Designer to strategically craft customer-facing surfaces. You will be responsible for shaping the narrative of our digital products, ensuring that all interactions—from a high-stakes seller flow to a one-time tooltip—are clear, concise, and useful.
This role sits within our UX Design team, where you will be a key member of our team. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Brand. Your copy will reduce friction, build trust, and guide our customers. You will be instrumental in building cohesive, engaging content to improve our customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Expertise
- Contribute to the end-to-end customer experience with tactical content.
Microcopy Mastery
- Demonstrate that no copy is too minor by crafting clear functional copy for UI components:
- Buttons
- Error messages
- Notifications
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to understand the brand voice and bring it to life for the customer in our digital products.
User Advocacy and Empathy
- Use data and research to understand customer pain points and opportunities.
- Anticipate customer frustration and use copy to proactively guide customers.
Accessibility & Inclusion
- Ensure all content is legible and accessible for all users by meeting WCAG standards.
- Champion inclusive language.
Skills / Experience
Experience
- 3+ years of experience writing customer experiences for digital products.
Tools
- Proficiency in Figma.
- You will work directly in Figma with UX Designers and Product Managers to map out user flows, wireframes, and designs.
Portfolio
- A strong portfolio demonstrating how your copy and work contributed to solving specific user challenges.
Strategic Thinking
- Ability to confidently present and explain why you chose specific copy based on data, best practices, or user psychology.
High Attention to Detail
- Obsess over details with a keen eye for consistency, ensuring flawless execution.
Proactive Mindset
- You don’t wait to be told how to do something; you are self-driven to identify what needs to happen.
Desired Skills
- Experience with localization and global products
- Experience with UX research
- Strong interest in seller marketplaces
