Role Description
This is a contract, Hybrid position in Johannesburg for a User Experience Writer. The UX Writer will craft clear and user-centered content for digital products, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience. Responsibilities include creating UX copy, conducting research to understand user needs, collaborating with designers and developers to align content with design and functionality, and supporting content strategy efforts aimed at improving overall user satisfaction.
The UX Writer will also advocate for clarity, consistency, and accessibility in all written components of the user journey.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in User Experience Writing and Technical Writing to create clear, concise, and user-focused content.
- Ability to conduct UX Research to understand user behavior, needs, and preferences.
- Experience developing and implementing effective Content Strategy that supports seamless user interactions.
- Strong writing skills, including an exceptional grasp of grammar, tone, and adaptable style to suit the audience.
- Proficiency in content accessibility best practices and ensuring inclusivity in all user interactions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working on interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience with design thinking or human-centered design methodologies is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field is preferred.
