UX Researcher
6 months – 40 hours per week – 105 EUR per hour (VAT is paid on top of the hourly rate – Independent Contractor) – 2 days per week in the Amsterdam office

As a Researcher in our innovative team, you will lead end-to-end user research projects, shaping products and strategies that resonate with real user needs. This role offers the opportunity to operate independently, craft cutting-edge methodologies, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver insights that truly matter.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and execute comprehensive research activities, including defining objectives, developing hypotheses, selecting appropriate methodologies, and delivering actionable insights.
- Evaluate research opportunities, challenge inbound requests, and propose innovative, efficient solutions.
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative data for holistic analysis, triangulating findings to inform impactful decision-making.
- Foster collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams, translating complex insights into clear, compelling communication tailored to diverse audiences.
- Contribute to the research community through participation, mentorship, and shared expertise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience demonstrating strong research design fundamentals.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools for surveys, diary studies, and other research methods.
- Solid understanding of data ethics and compliance.
- Exceptional judgment in evaluating research opportunities and delivering strategic insights.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different stakeholders and team members.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in innovative research methodologies and integrating secondary research.
- Knowledge of software tools relevant to research activities.
- Prior experience mentoring or coaching junior researchers.
- Active participation in research communities or topic-specific workgroups.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- A master's or doctoral degree in fields emphasizing research involving human subjects.
- Relevant experience spanning 3 to 5 years in user research or related disciplines.
- Strong foundation in research methodologies, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to engage in cross-team collaboration and contribute to research initiatives.
- Commitment to ethical research practices and data privacy standards.
- Existing work authorization or legal compliance to operate as an independent contractor within the applicable jurisdiction.
