Title: Video Editor
Company: Dhuni Software
Location: Kathmandu, Bāgmatī, Nepal
Full-Time | On-Site | Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
About the Role
We are looking for a creative, independent, and highly skilled Mid-Level Video Editor to own and elevate our video content across social media, marketing campaigns, and product showcases. Unlike a junior role, you won’t just be assisting—you will take full ownership of the post-production pipeline from raw footage to final delivery.
You possess a strong sense of visual storytelling, a sharp eye for pacing, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will collaborate directly with marketing managers and designers, transforming creative briefs into high-impact visual assets that drive engagement and match our brand identity perfectly.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Editing: Independently edit high-quality short-form and long-form videos for social media, paid ads, websites, and internal production needs.
- Creative Execution: Handle advanced trimming, seamless transitions, precise audio syncing, sound design, color grading, and dynamic captions/subtitles.
- Motion Graphics: Integrate engaging motion graphics, lower thirds, and animated elements to elevate production value.
- Asset & Workflow Management: Establish and maintain an organized project file system and media asset library for efficient team collaboration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with designers, copywriters, and marketers to brainstorm video concepts and ensure content aligns with strategic marketing goals.
- Platform Optimization: Format, compress, and optimize videos for maximum performance across diverse platforms (including Instagram Reels/Stories, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Meta/TikTok Ads).
- Feedback Integration: Confidently manage and implement stakeholder feedback, delivering polished revisions under tight deadlines.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years of professional video editing experience (agency or in-house marketing team experience is a huge plus).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of professional editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve/Final Cut Pro equivalent).
- Independence: Proven ability to take a project brief and run with it independently, requiring minimal hand-holding or directional oversight.
- Storytelling & Pacing: A strong portfolio demonstrating an advanced understanding of narrative structure, comedic or dramatic pacing, and visual rhythm.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of video codecs, export settings, aspect ratios, color correction, and audio mastering.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio or showreel showcasing live marketing campaigns, social content, or product videos.
Good to Have
- Advanced Animation: Strong skills in 2D motion graphics, typography animation, or character rigging.
- Growth Mindset: Up-to-date with the latest AI editing tools, social media algorithms, and viral video trends.
- Industry Interest: A keen interest in UI/UX, tech products, or consumer behavior to help inform creative editing choices.
