Role Description – This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Kathmandu. The Video Editor will assemble raw footage into polished videos for web, social media, and other digital platforms, ensuring consistent quality and brand alignment. Day-to-day tasks include cutting and arranging clips, adding transitions and effects, synchronizing audio, and applying color correction and grading. The role also involves creating or integrating motion graphics and simple visual assets, collaborating with designers, developers, and marketing teams, and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines. The Video Editor will contribute creative ideas, maintain organized file and project structures, and stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, including assembling, trimming, and refining footage into coherent and engaging stories.
  • Proficiency in Video Color Grading to enhance visual consistency, mood, and overall image quality.
  • Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics elements to support narratives and branding.
  • Experience with industry-standard editing and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
  • Solid understanding of sound design basics, file management, codecs, formats, and export settings for various digital platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to follow briefs and brand guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment on-site in Kathmandu.
  • Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and portfolio showcasing previous work.
