ABOUT CREATIVEOPTIC

CreativeOPTIC is a digital-first media company built at the intersection of creativity, culture, travel, technology, and entrepreneurship. We create content that inspires creators to think differently, build meaningful businesses, and document their journey through compelling visual storytelling.

We’re building a premium media brand where every piece of content reflects a consistent level of quality, creativity, and intention. Every frame matters. When applying, please submit:

* Resume

* Three YouTube videos you’ve edited.

* Three short-form videos you’ve edited.

* A brief explanation of your editing philosophy and what you believe separates a great YouTube editor from an average one.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Video Editor who specializes in cinematic YouTube vlog content.

This is not a position for someone who simply cuts clips together. We’re looking for a visual storyteller who understands how to create emotion, build anticipation, and keep viewers engaged from the opening frame to the final second.

You’ll work directly with our founder and creative team to edit long-form YouTube content while repurposing that content into engaging short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.

Your work will play a major role in defining the CreativeOPTIC visual identity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

* Edit long-form YouTube vlog content with a strong emphasis on storytelling and audience retention.

* Transform raw footage into compelling narratives with clear pacing and flow.

* Create high-performing short-form content from long-form videos.

* Collaborate with the creative team to develop episode structure and editing direction.

* Organize and manage project assets efficiently.

* Maintain consistency across all CreativeOPTIC content.

* Deliver projects on schedule while maintaining exceptional quality.

* Stay current with editing trends, storytelling techniques, and emerging creative tools.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is an editor first and a storyteller second.

You understand that editing is more than transitions and effects. Every cut, sound, and visual choice should move the story forward.

You have exceptional taste, strong creative instincts, and understand what keeps viewers watching on YouTube.

EDITING STANDARDS

Our editing style is cinematic, intentional, and retention-focused.

You should be confident creating:

* 20–30 second cinematic cold opens that immediately build curiosity, establish the story, and make viewers feel like they have to keep watching.

* Story-driven edits with exceptional pacing that naturally guides viewers through the episode.

* Seamless transitions that reinforce the story instead of distracting from it.

* Premium sound design using ambient audio, risers, impacts, music transitions, room tone, and subtle sound effects that elevate the viewing experience.

* Professional color correction and color grading that creates a consistent CreativeOPTIC visual identity.

* Motion graphics, typography, lower thirds, maps, and visual callouts that feel polished and intentional.

* Strategic use of B-roll that enhances storytelling rather than simply hiding cuts.

* Retention-focused editing that understands when to speed up, slow down, create tension, or let important moments breathe.

* Consistent quality across every project so every upload feels unmistakably CreativeOPTIC.

We value editors with exceptional taste. Knowing when not to use an effect is just as important as knowing when one will make the story stronger.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of two years of professional editing experience.

* Strong portfolio showcasing cinematic YouTube content and social media editing.

* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience with DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly preferred.

* Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, rhythm, and audience retention.

* Experience with professional sound design and color grading.

* Excellent organization and project management skills.

* Ability to receive feedback and implement revisions quickly.

* Ability to manage multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

THE ENVIRONMENT

CreativeOPTIC operates in a fast-moving content environment where quality is non-negotiable.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, sweats the small details, thrives under pressure, and consistently raises the creative standard.

Every member of our team contributes to the CreativeOPTIC brand. We value accountability, creativity, ownership, curiosity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
