The Role: VP, Business Development & Client Relationships
The Role’s Responsibilities:
- develop relationships with key decision makers in companies in our target market to market the firm to companies throughout the US (and abroad if applicable) to solicit interest in our consultants for engagements
- introduce our consultants to decision makers in these companies to allow them to discuss their needs in detail with key people
- successfully lead our consultants to land a consultancy engagement via your sales and marketing efforts
- lead consulting engagements for clients in your area of subject matter expertise (fractional CSO, CMO, etc.)
- collaborate with firm leadership on marketing & brand image building for Jupiter and have a direct influence on the growth strategy of the firm
The Role’s Compensation:
- compensation for consulting engagements you do directly with a client are at a very lucrative hourly rate of $200-300 on average for 40+ hours weekly, typically 3-12 months in length
- compensation for landing engagements for the rest of the team is on a commission-based structure on an independent contractor agreement basis (1099 or C2C with your LLC or company)
- compensation is paid on a gross basis with no deductions for taxes, Medicare, etc.(you manage that via 1099 or C2C with your LLC or company)
- consultancy engagements are anywhere from 3 months to 12 months or more in length for each consultant
- target first year income for this role is $250,000 subject to attaining target performance metrics
- eligible for equity and equity options based on performance targets

- the compensation is augmented by a year-end cash bonus and the potential for an equity stake in the firm (with an eye on a 2-year exit strategy).
