About Us
We are VireoX – we build agentic AI products that generate actionable insights for teams and companies in retail, finance, and manufacturing industries to optimize operations and drive measurable bottom-line growth. We were built out of Chicago Atlantic, a private credit firm with a strong track record in roll-ups, and we know this work from the inside: we lived a roll-up ourselves, applied AI to our own operations, and saw the gains firsthand. Now we're taking those learnings forward into one of the hardest corners of professional services, restructuring.
We're a profitable company with ~$800M in revenue, growing quickly and executing a clear strategy toward $1B+. We currently manage a total of $3.5B in terms of Operating Asset. Despite our size, we have a startup culture (small team) and a product-oriented culture in Vietnam. This role is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an AI Engineer who specializes in building and orchestrating production AI agents. This isn't a traditional automation role; you will be responsible for the systems and experiences that put our agents to work in the real world, now including one of the hardest corners of professional services: restructuring.
In this role, you will go beyond single-agent demos. You will build and run managed agents, design plugins and orchestrate them into complex networks of workflows, and craft user experiences that meet people where they already work with minimal intervention. You will adopt the principles of a "Forward Deployed" engineer across the pre and post restructuring workflows of finance and advisory teams, translating what they actually do into systems they can rely on.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain managed AI agents that do real work against live professional services workflows, not demos
- Build plugins and orchestrate them into complex, multi-step networks of workflows that span tools and systems
- Craft user experiences that meet users where they work and deliver value with minimal intervention, where the bar is something people actually use
- Act as a forward-deployed engineer across pre and post restructuring workflows, turning messy real-world processes into working systems
- Own production reliability and iteration, including knowing when to rebuild versus patch
- Work directly with finance and advisory users to diagnose broken workflows and ship the systems that fix them
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building production software or AI systems, with a focus on agents or advanced AI use cases rather than one-off scripts
- Hands-on experience running AI agents in production, including prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and tool/plugin integration
- Practical experience building or extending plugins and chaining them into multi-step workflows across systems
- Advanced proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for building production-grade AI systems
- Product and UX sense, building for the user rather than the architecture so the work lands with minimal friction
- Professional working English with the ability to communicate technical decisions to international teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks, MCP, or plugin ecosystems
- Experience in finance, consulting, or professional services
- Previous experience in a forward-deployed or client-facing role working with messy real-world workflows
- Front-end or product-building chops for user-facing experiences
- Exposure to restructuring, FP&A, or financial operations
Why you will love working here
- Competitive package
- Hybrid working model
- Macbook provided for work
- Close-knit small team culture
