Phase Three Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery based in the Chicago suburbs. We opened our doors in 2019 and have grown into one of the most recognized names in Midwest craft beer, known for world-class hazy IPAs and a serious barrel-aged program. We currently operate two taprooms — Lake Zurich and Elmhurst. Our Lake Zurich facility is home to our full production and packaging operation, and we self-distribute across Chicagoland and regularly ship beer around the country.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person to join our production team in a dual Packaging Operator and Cellar role. This is a hands-on position that keeps our production floor moving — you’ll work alongside our Packaging Lead on canning and kegging days, and support our cellar team with tank operations, fruit dosing, centrifuge work, and general cellar maintenance. If you’re someone who wants to learn how a craft brewery actually runs from the inside out, this is a great place to build that foundation.
You’ll report directly to our Packaging Lead and work closely with the cellar and brew teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Packaging
– Operate and assist on our canning and bottling lines
– Apply Paktechs, build case flats, and build pallets
– Keg washing and filling
– Cleaning and organization of packaging equipment and consumables
– Assist with 16oz and 12oz format switchovers
– Data entry and inventory tracking in Ekos
Cellar
– Tank flipping, transfers, and general cellar operations
– Fruit dosing and adjunct additions
– Centrifuge operation
– CIP (clean-in-place) procedures on tanks and cellar equipment
– Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the cellar
– Assisting the brew team as needed
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
– Eager to learn and grow in a production brewery environment
– Strong work ethic — self-motivated, punctual, and prepared to stay until the job is done
– Comfortable on your feet for long periods in a warm, physical work environment
– Neat and organized — puts things back where they came from
– Strong attention to detail, especially around sanitation and quality
– Works well as part of a team but can manage tasks independently
– Basic computer skills for data entry
– Able to lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder height
– Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification
– Prior packaging or cellar experience a plus — but not required if you’re the right fit
