Overview

One of our clients is seeking a Manager / Assistant Manager to join its Charities and Community Engagement team. This role will be responsible for developing compelling narratives and communication strategies that showcase the impact of community initiatives and social programmes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping content, driving storytelling campaigns, and translating community impact into engaging communications that resonate with stakeholders, beneficiaries, media, and the public. This position is ideal for a communications professional with strong content development, public relations, corporate communications, or NGO sector experience who is passionate about creating meaningful stories that drive engagement and social impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication and content strategies that support charitable and community engagement initiatives.
  • Create compelling narratives and storytelling campaigns that effectively communicate programme outcomes and social impact.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders, programme teams, NGOs, and external partners to identify and develop impactful stories.
  • Lead content planning, messaging development, and campaign execution across various communication channels.
  • Support publicity, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and reputation-building initiatives.
  • Translate complex programmes and social impact outcomes into clear, engaging, and audience-focused content.
  • Work collaboratively with events, communications, and engagement teams to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements to strengthen audience engagement and brand perception.
  • Support the development of strategic communication materials, presentations, reports, and stakeholder updates.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Content Strategy, Brand Communications, Community Engagement, NGO Communications, or related fields.
  • Strong experience in content development, campaign messaging, and strategic storytelling.
  • Proven ability to create compelling narratives that engage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working with NGOs, charitable organizations, community-focused initiatives, social impact programmes, or purpose-driven brands is highly preferred.
  • Candidates from both agency and in-house communication environments are welcome.
  • Experience managing integrated communication campaigns and stakeholder engagement programmes is advantageous.
