Role Description This is a full-time, remote role based in Malaysia for a Commissioned Sales Representative. The role focuses on driving sales growth of East West Asia’s Tequila, Mezcal, and Agave Spirits portfolio through direct outreach to distributors, wholesalers, on-trade and off-trade accounts, and specialty retailers. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting virtual and in-person product presentations and tastings, negotiating commercial terms, and closing sales. The Sales Representative will maintain and expand relationships with existing partners, track sales performance, and provide regular reporting and market feedback to management. The role also involves supporting brand awareness initiatives, participating in educational and promotional activities, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and customer service across the region.
Qualifications

  • Proven sales, business development, and account management skills, ideally within beverages, alcohol, or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with confidence in engaging B2B clients and key decision makers.
  • Solid knowledge or strong interest in spirits, especially Tequila, Mezcal, and Agave-based products; willingness to learn through training and educational programs.
  • Experience working independently in a remote environment, with effective time management, organization, and self-motivation.
  • Comfort using digital tools for CRM, reporting, virtual meetings, and online prospecting; basic proficiency with office productivity software.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional regional languages are an advantage.
  • Understanding of the Malaysian market and broader Southeast Asia trade landscape is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to travel within Malaysia and occasionally within the region for client meetings, events, and tastings, subject to business needs.
  • Prior experience working on a commission-based compensation structure is an advantage.
  • Relevant education in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field
