Role Description

We’re looking for an exceptional Content Writer to join our team in a part-time contract role (approximately 20 hours per week), with the potential to explore a full-time position as our needs evolve. We need a versatile writer who combines traditional writing craft with a deep understanding of AI tools. Acting as our go-to writer, you will produce original, nuanced, human-written content across everything from blog articles and website copy to executive ghostwriting. You must know how to thoughtfully use modern AI (such as for brainstorming, research, and outlining) while rigorously ensuring the final text relies entirely on your own critical thinking, originality, and editorial judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Writing Across Formats: You will independently write for a wide variety of channels, delivering polished website copy, engaging blog articles, sharp social media posts, and infographic text that clearly communicates our brand.
  • Ghostwriting for Executives: You will learn and seamlessly adapt to various tones, writing convincing communications and comment responses on behalf of our leadership while preserving their original meaning and strategic intent.
  • Turning Rough Ideas into Clear Prose: You will frequently take unstructured, raw materials, such as a quick voice recording, scattered notes, or a rough brain dump, find the main point, and transform them into clear, compelling, publishable writing.
  • Using AI as a Support Tool: You will leverage modern LLMs (like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) strictly for brainstorming, research, outlining, and idea generation, ensuring the final published text remains entirely original and written by you.
  • Editing and Refining Drafts: You will review drafts from junior writers or AI-assisted workflows with a sharp editorial eye, actively identifying and removing "AI slop," tightening structure, and transforming flat, generic language into natural, specific human copy.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional English Fluency: You have an exceptional command of written English tailored for U.S. business and marketing audiences, demonstrating a nuanced grasp of tone, rhythm, precision, and natural phrasing.
  • Mastery of Writing Mechanics: You are a strong writer first. You possess the foundational ability to develop a compelling argument, organize complex ideas, and write independently, having learned the craft long before relying on AI.
  • Advanced AI Literacy: You deeply understand how LLMs write and can fluently recognize common AI patterns, such as generic phrasing, overly polished but empty language, and formulaic structures, allowing you to systematically avoid them in your own work.
  • Sharp Editorial Judgment: You know exactly how to improve a piece of writing. You can confidently cut fluff, strengthen weak ideas, clarify arguments, and push a draft from a rough concept to a publishable, human-sounding final piece.
  • Role Flexibility: You are comfortable starting in a part-time contract capacity (around 20 hours per week) to handle diverse content needs, bringing an adaptable mindset and an openness to exploring a full-time path depending on performance and company growth.
