IDN Kids is IDN's business unit focused on kids IP — creating content centered on gentle learning, emotional development, and everyday moments for toddlers (ages 0–3). As we scale our short-form presence, we're looking for a Freelance Short-Form Animation Editor who can produce high-retention vertical Shorts for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts — within a repeatable, AI-assisted production system.

This is not a full animation role. The focus is assembly, storytelling, and retention — using existing assets and AI tools to produce content efficiently and consistently.

What you'll work on

Asset-based Shorts

Edit pre-produced animation clips, scripts, and voiceovers into engaging 15–45 sec vertical Shorts. Re-sequence scenes, craft strong hooks within the first 1–2 seconds, add kid-friendly captions, and deliver multiple hook/pacing variations per piece.

From-scratch Shorts (AI-assisted)

Build new Shorts from the ground up using AI tools and our character assets when no pre-produced material exists. Storyboard a single clear moment, generate visuals that match our established style, and apply the same hook, captioning, and variation standards.

Requirements — must have

• Strong grasp of short-form storytelling and audience retention
• Proven editing experience for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and/or YouTube Shorts
• Comfortable working with animation assets — not just live footage
• Good sense of pacing for very young audiences (0–3 years old)
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in a video/editing workflow
• Ability to maintain consistent character look, palette, and tone across outputs
• Can produce multiple variations efficiently — thinks in formats, not one-offs

Tools: Adobe Premiere Pro / CapCut | Adobe After Effects | AI video tools (any — your choice)

Our creative direction: High emotion, low chaos. IDN Kids content is calm, warm, and intentional — designed for toddlers. We are not looking for fast-cut, hype-driven, or visually overstimulating edits. No heavy transitions, no loud effects, no cluttered visuals. This is a critical creative fit signal — if your portfolio skews chaotic or high-energy, this role may not be the right match.

Working arrangement

• Freelance / contract engagement — paid per batch of deliverables
• On-site presence required: ideally 1–2 full days/week at IDN HQ
• Responsive during office hours on both on-site and remote days
• Collaborative setup — expect regular syncs, briefs, and revision rounds
