At M2 Animation, that's exactly what this role is: full ownership of a 200+ person high-end animation studio in Bangkok, built on a world-class permanent team and a network of strategic partners that give us the agility to scale with the market.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As General Manager of M2 Animation Bangkok, you will own the studio fully: its financial performance, its people, its culture, and its day-to-day leadership. You carry real P&L accountability and the mandate to deliver on a clear and ambitious strategy, reporting directly to the Group CEO and working closely with leadership colleagues across M2's global operations.
The studio brings together talent from across the world, creating content for a global client base: a genuinely international environment, and one of the studio's greatest strengths. You will inherit a management team that is capable and committed. Your job is to elevate what's already there: drive margin, and develop the infrastructure to support long-term growth.
THE MANDATE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- P&L Ownership & Financial Performance: Drive studio margins, command full P&L accountability, and execute a 12–24 month value-creation agenda.
- Operational Leadership: Maintain a tight weekly operational grip on day-to-day studio functions while building out the organizational infrastructure to support long-term growth.
- Cultural & Studio Leadership: Lead from the front, foster deep team trust by being present, and cultivate a high-performance culture anchored on being "just a little better today than yesterday".
- Global Scale & Infrastructure: Drive the studio's performance through a pivotal strategic inflection point, investing in emerging technology and scaling real-time production capabilities.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Business Leadership First: Proven background owning a P&L and leading complex, multicultural teams at scale. (Experience in animation, games, digital production, or branded content is advantageous, but performance is the ultimate mandate) .
- Commercial & Strategic Sharpness: A sharp corporate mind that balances operational grip with long-term value creation, understanding that premium craft is inseparable from long-term financial performance.
- Presence & Trust: A visible, engaged leadership style built on showing up, knowing your people, and driving collective results.
- Global Mindset: Fluency in English with the professional and cultural maturity required to effortlessly navigate North American standards and Scandinavian sensibilities.
