Position: Junior Graphic Designer – Contract
Our client is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join the Cape Town team on a contract basis. The contract duration will be 12 – 24 months
- Assist in the creation of marketing and promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, banners, presentations, and advertisements
- Design digital assets for social media, websites, email campaigns, and online advertising
- Create and edit graphics, illustrations, infographics, and other visual content
- Resize, adapt, and update existing artwork for various platforms and campaigns
- Ensure all design work adheres to company brand guidelines and visual standards
- Maintain consistency across all marketing and communication materials
- Assist in managing and updating brand asset libraries
- Support the marketing and creative teams with day-to-day design requirements
- Work on multiple design projects while adhering to deadlines
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make revisions where required
- Prepare artwork files for digital distribution and print production
- Conduct quality checks to ensure artwork accuracy
- Assist with sourcing stock images, fonts, and other creative resources
- Maintain organised design files and project documentation
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a graphic design role
- Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms
- Proficiency in:
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva - Understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout
