ASIX is one of Bangladesh’s leading ethical handicrafts export companies, working with 900+ women artisans across 4 production hubs. We craft sustainable lifestyle products from natural fibres such as palm, jute, seagrass, and banana fibre. Our buyers include retailers, HoReCa operators, design houses, and importers across Europe, Japan, India, Australia, and other international markets. ASIX has also been exhibiting at Ambiente Frankfurt for a decade.
We are looking for a sharp, organised, and accountable Merchandising & Export Executive who will act as the operational bridge between international buyers and ASIX’s production/export operation.
This role requires strong written English, accuracy in export documentation, proactive follow-up, and the ability to manage buyer communication, samples, shipment coordination, and production timelines with ownership.
Job Responsibilities
Buyer Communication
- Handle day-to-day communication with international buyers regarding product specifications, samples, production updates, shipment schedules, and documentation.
- Respond to buyer queries within 24 hours and provide proactive updates on sample dispatch, sample approval, bulk production, shipment readiness, and shipment confirmation.
- Maintain buyer communication records and escalate buyer concerns, delays, or unusual requests on time.
Sample & Merchandising Coordination
- Coordinate fit samples, final samples, and production samples from development to dispatch, feedback, revision, and approval follow-up.
- Communicate buyer feedback clearly to production and operations teams.
- Support costing sheets, quotations, product specification sheets, and other merchandising documents as required.
Export Documentation & Logistics
- Prepare and manage export documents including commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading/airway bill, LC-related documents, and buyer-specific documentation.
- Review LC terms, prepare compliant documents, coordinate with banks, and follow up on document submission/payment status where required.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, C&F agents, clearing agents, and internal teams for smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries, and escalate any delay, discrepancy, or documentation risk before it becomes a problem.
Production Follow-up & Record Keeping
- Follow up with production and operations teams to track order progress across hubs and factory.
- Coordinate QC schedules, packing status, shipment readiness, and pre-shipment requirements.
Requirements
- Experience: At most 3 years
- Education: bachelor of business administration (bba)
- Skills: export management, international sales, asia business development, shipment coordination, textile industry knowledge, import export, international shipping knowledge, import logistics, import/export compliance, supplier management
