Position: Life Model for Artistic Classes
Engage as a Life Model at Sheridan, providing poses for diverse classes and programs. Contribute to creative expression while supporting student learning through dynamic body representation.
In this part-time role, you will pose for various artistic classes and public sessions, both nude and clothed, meeting faculty at the start of each class to discuss specific needs. Your collaborative spirit will enhance the learning experience, working alongside artists and faculty, interpreting set-ups, and managing props effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a range of poses from quick gestures to extended sessions
• Collaborate with instructors to meet curriculum objectives
• Manage time and positions to aid student focus
• Handle props and perform related tasks
• Support diverse student populations with empathy and insight
Requirements:
• 2 years of experience as a life model preferred
• Background in Fine Arts, Dance, or Acting is an asset
• Experience in academic or artist studio settings is preferred
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to relate to diverse individuals
