Role Description: The Pattern Maker role at FSGF AFRICA LTD is a full-time, on-site position based in Maitama, Abuja. The Pattern Maker will translate design concepts and measurements into accurate patterns for garments and related products, ensuring proper fit and manufacturability. Day-to-day tasks include developing and adjusting patterns, conducting fittings, collaborating with designers and production staff, and preparing patterns for cutting and sewing. The role involves using both manual methods and computer-aided design tools, checking samples for fit and quality, and making necessary alterations to meet production standards and client expectations. The Pattern Maker will also maintain organized pattern records and contribute to continuous improvement in the pattern development workflow.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Pattern Making and Pattern Design skills for creating and adjusting garment patterns.
- Candidates should possess fitting and Sewing skills to assess garment fit and support sample creation.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for developing and modifying digital patterns.
- Candidates should have attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Candidates should demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills for working with designers and production teams.
- Relevant experience in fashion, garment manufacturing, or tailoring, and vocational technical training in pattern making and fashion design, is beneficial.
