YOUTH DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
July 2026
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
- In the fall, send out cards and/or fliers to families of prospective participants
- Coordinate curriculums, crafts, games and activities
- Identify and encourage teachers, helpers and volunteers
- Interact with area organizations to identify and reach kids who wouldn’t otherwise hear about our Sunday School
- Be present at Sunday School to organize activities and assist teachers
OLIN VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
- Work with Olin Lutheran Church to plan Summer Vacation Bible School
- Communicate with church members the details of the event, coordinate volunteers and supplies as needed
- Help run this one week in August event
MEETINGS AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend or provide an update to communicate progress, opportunities and challenges of our youth programs for the Olin Ad Board and/or SPRC meetings
- Work with WVP Pastor and staff to find ways to use social media to spread the word about our youth programs
OTHER POSSIBILITIES TO DEVELOP:
- Start Middle School/High School age youth group
- Explore and develop special praise and worship events (music)
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
